"So, when I say that I am a refugee, you must understand that there is no refuge"- Chris Cleave, Little Bee
Law of Refugee has its basis in Human Rights and Humanitarian Law. Even though the term refugee has been adequately defined in various regional and international instruments, the states interpret the term to forward their own self-interest. The strict or narrow definition and the lack of consensus amongst states have a direct and immediate effect on the rights of the refugees.
