Chapter X of the Copyright Act, 1957 explains how to Registration of Copyright.
It states as folows:
Section 44 states - Register of Copyrights: In the office of the Copyright a register shall be maintained in which entries of names or titles of works and the names and addresses of authors, publishers and owners of copyright and such other particulars as may be entered in a prescribed manner.
